The ARC Silent Guardian is a multipurpose active RFID reader compatible with all ARC active RFID tags and readers.  It is suitable for standalone use with i.e. a laptop or as part of a networked reader system.

The USB interface and windows based computer with software enables the reader to act as an easy wireless tool for configuring active tags and readers in the system.

The reader can be combined with supporting wireless routers as to channel RFID, location and zoning information through standard Wi-Fi networks or the internet to a central server.  

The reader can be powered from an external power source or can be powered from USB when relay functionality is not required. The reader automatically and uninterrupted switchover to the external supply if both power supplies are present.

The reader allows for wireless control of an external device connected to its relay, i.e. a gate, light or to send a signal to a third party system.

The device includes an acoustic sounder for signalling events and can be enabled or disabled as required.

The reader is enclosed in a dust, moisture and water resistant enclosure and is therefore also suitable for outdoor use.
